Question : Foreign Exchange Reserves

(a) whether the foreign exchange reserves of India have fallen significantly in the last two years;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the Government has taken any measures to increase the foreign exchange reserves of the country; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): No Sir. India currently has the fourth largest foreign exchange reserves in the world. The foreign exchange reserves during the last three years are presented in Table 1 below.
