Question : Kendriya Vidyalayas in Madhya Pradesh

(a) whether the Government is aware that a new Kendriya Vidyalaya has been approved by the Government in Narsinghgarh, Madhya Pradesh but due to departmental apathy classes have not been started there till date;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps taken/ being taken by the Government to start new session in the above mentioned KV so that the residents of that area may get a new institution to improve the quality of education?

(a) to (c) New Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) in Narsinghgarh, Madhya Pradesh has not been approved by the Government. However, a proposal for opening of new KV at Narsinghgarh, District Rajgarh has been received from the State Government of Madhya Pradesh which has been found fulfilling the mandatory pre-requisites as per norms of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Accordingly, the proposal has been considered by the “Challenge Method” Committee. The proposals received from various sponsoring authorities found fulfilling the mandatory pre-requisites for opening of new KVs are required to compete with other proposals under the “Challenge Method” and are subject to approval of the competent authority.
