(a) whether the Government has any records of financial assistance provided to Uttar Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) during the last three years; and
(b) if so, the details thereof, District and year-wise and if not, the reasons thereof?
(a) &(b):Yes, Sir. Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) [PMAY(U)] since 25.06.2015 for providing assistance to States/Union Territories (UTs) including the State of Uttar Pradesh, for addressing the housing requirement in urban areas.
A total of 14,42,975 houses have been approved for the State of Uttar Pradesh; out of this, 8,33,823 are at various stages of construction and 3,19,486 have been completed/delivered. Central Assistance of Rs 21,992.42 crore has been approved; out of this, Rs. 7,544.96 crore have so far been released to the State.
During the last three years, Central Assistance of Rs.5540.47 Crore has been released to the State of Uttar Pradesh. Year-wise and District-wise details of Central Assistance released to the State are at Annexure.
