Question : Certification of Seeds

(a) whether the Government is planning to make certification of seeds mandatory;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether any consultation has been held with the State Governments in this regard and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the suggestions made by the State Governments?

(a) to (d): At present, there is no proposal with the Government to make certification of seed mandatory.
