(a) whether the UGC propose to provide connectivity to all
universities, institutions and affiliated colleges in the
country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the agreement has been signed in this regard; and
(d) if so, the estimated cost on the project?

(a): Yes, Sir.
(b)&(c): UGC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the
ERNET India to provide connectivity to all the universities in
the first instance, which is proposed to be extended to
affiliated colleges subsequently.
(d): Cost of the project is yet to be worked out.
