Question : Status of Various Schemes in Assam

(a) the details of the schemes being run by the Government in Assam;

(b) the status of the schemes being run by the Government in Assam and North Eastern States of the country;

(c) the details of the funds provided to North Eastern States during the last three years along with the district-wise details of utilisation of this fund thereof;

(d) the number of recipients of awards given by the Ministry during the last three year; and

(e) the details of the Committees constituted by the Government during the last three years?

(a), (b) & (c) Ministry of Culture does not operate any State specific scheme. It operates a number of central sector schemes as given in Annexure. These schemes are applicable for all States/ UTs. The Ministry does not allocate funds State and district wise. However, funds allocated to North Eastern States and actual expenditure thereof during the last three years are as follows:-

(d) As per available information, a total of 72 persons from North Eastern region including Assam have received awards during the period.
