(a) whether the Government has identified and acquired land for constructing national war memorial in the memory of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in various wars;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the reasons for inordinate delay in the project; and
(d) the steps taken / proposed to be taken to complete the project without any further delay?

(a) & (b): The Government has identified the area around canopy at ‘C’ Hexagon, East of India Gate for construction of a National War Memorial in memory of all the Indian soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the country, post-independence.
(c) & (d): The Cabinet in its meeting held on 7th October 2015 approved the construction of the National War Memorial. The tentative time frame for project completion is five years.
