Question : Integrated Tourism Circuits for Kerala

(a) whether the Government has sanctioned six integrated circuits to Kerala under Spiritual, Rural and Eco-Tourism themes under Swadesh Darshan and if so, the details thereof along with their status;
(b) whether the Government has received any proposal to include Kerala’s Coastal Circuit under Swadesh Darshan Scheme;
(c) if so, the details thereof along with the decision taken thereon and if not, the reasons therefor;
(d) the details of the tourist destinations in Ernakulam District of Kerala State which are covered under the above circuits; and
(e) the funds allocated for development of spiritual circuit under Swadesh Darshan Scheme in Kerala including Alappuzha?

(a) to (e): The details of projects sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism in Kerala under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme –Integrated Development of theme based tourist circuits in the country along with the status is at annexure.

No Proposal from the State Government of Kerala under the Coastal Circuit Theme of the scheme is under consideration of the Ministry.

In Ernakulam district, destinations taken up for development includes: Thirumuppam Mahadev Temple, Muslim Jama-ath Mosque, St. Mary’s Basillica Church, Mar Behanan’s Dayara Chapel, Moozhikulam Sree Lakshmana Perumal Temple, Payammal Sree Shathruknha Swaamee Temple and St. Thomas Church.
