Question : Allocation of Coal Blocks

(a) whether the private players are allocated coal blocks in the country;
(b) if so, the details of the total number of coal blocks that are allocated to private players during the last three years, year-wise and coal block-wise;
(c) whether the Government has achieved the target of revenue generation from allocation of coal blocks; and
(d) if so, the response of the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b): Yes, and Details of coal blocks allocated to private players during last three years (FY 2018-19 to 2020-21) is at Annexure.

(c) & (d): Ministry of Coal does not set any target of revenue generation from allocation of coal blocks.
