Question : IIM

(a) whether the Government is aware of the fact that students of IIM Lucknow and Rohtak are being served poor quality and cold breakfast/lunch/dinner in their mess (Canteen);

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has made or proposes to make any plan to carry out surprise check of the food being served in the canteens keeping in view health of the students of said institutes; and

(d) if so, the number of surprise checks made for checking the food quality of Mess (Canteen) of IIM Rohtak and Lucknow during last three years and as on date?

(a) & (b): No Sir. No such complaint has been received in the Ministry.

(c) & (d): No Sir. Stringent protocols are followed for checking the quality of food and hygiene in the mess (Canteen) of IIM Lucknow and IIM Rohtak. These canteens are maintained and inspected jointly by the students and the administration of these institutes.
