Question : MINING OF IRON ORE BY NMDC

(a) whether the iron ore mining is being carried out in the mines of Bacheli under the administrative control of the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC);

(b) if so, the total area of land allocated and occupied by the NMDC on lease in the said mine;

(c) whether NMDC has occupied more area than allocated to it under the contract and if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether the State Government of Chhattisgarh has issued any notice to NMDC or taken action against its management in the case; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?
