(a) and (b): According to the Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Computer Society of India (CSI), is a non-profitable and un-aided independent Society. The Vishakhapatnam Chapter of CSI is undertaking several activities including the following, for the growth of IT Sector in Vizag area:
(i) Bringing IT MNCs and leading Indian IT companies to Vishakhapatnam and organising lectures/seminars and also showcasing the Vizag capabilities.
(ii) Educating the industry in leveraging the IT, through CIO/CEO conclaves.
(iii) Educating the rural people in utilizing the IT for their day-to-day jobs.
(iv) Propagating awareness in industries to achieve excellence by leveraging IT.
(v) Organizing National and Intentional level conventions, for industry and academia interactions
(vi) Upgrading the knowledge of IT teachers in the colleges and schools to take up latest trends in IT.
