(a)to(c): Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) is one of the integral components of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) [SBM(G)]. However, the focus till now was on attaining Open Defecation Free (ODF) status of the villages. Having achieved the ODF outcomes, the focus is now on sustainability of ODF outcomes and SLWM. Government has recently approved Phase-II of SBM (G) for implementation from 2020-21 to 2024-25. State/UT wise numbers of Gram Panchayats where SLWM projects have been taken-up so far under SBM (G), as per the details entered by the States/UTs on the online Integrated Management Information System of SBM (G), are given at Annexure.
