(a) the details of the achievements made under the Swadhar Scheme; and
(b) the number of women benefited under the said scheme in the rural and
urban areas separately, in the country including Gujarat during each of

(a) As on 10th July, 2009, 292 Swadhar Shelter Homes and 206 Women Helplines
are functioning across the country intended to benefit 16135 women.
(b) A state-wise list of number of beneficiaries including Gujarat during the last 3 year and current year
is Annexed. The scheme makes no distinction with respect to sanction of project in urban and rural areas.
