Question : Eligible Beneficiaries under PMAY-G

(a) the number of housing units sanctioned in respect of Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas YojanaGramin (PMAY-G) and the number of housing units yet to be sanctioned for the State;

(b) whether the Government proposes to provide housing facility or include the names of those eligible beneficiaries in the list whose names have been left out after sanctioning of houses under the said scheme or the erstwhile scheme on the basis of survey conducted in the year 2011;

(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(d) whether the Government proposes to consider this in future?

(a): The number of housing units allocated to the State of Madhya Pradesh for financial year 2016-17 are 4,48,147 and the number of Housing units sanctioned by the State to the beneficiaries are 3,06,124 as on 14.03.2017 under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G).

(b) to (d): In the initial year of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), there is no provision available for adding/ including names in the Permanent Wait List. However, the Gram Sabha/ Village Sabha or the lowest unit of local self government, as recognized by the respective State/ UT Panchayat Act, may record a separate list in the Gram Sabha resolution with reasons about households not included in the priority list, but otherwise found eligible during the proceedings of the Gram Sabha. Claimants other than those endorsed in the Gram Sabha resolution for inclusion in the list, may submit their claims to the Competent Authority within a period of six months from the day of the passing of resolution by the Gram Sabha. The Competent Authority shall enquire into the list, as endorsed by the Gram Sabha, as well as the representations received directly and submit report to the Appellate Committee. Based on the merit of the claim, the Appellate Committee may recommend including these households in the universe of beneficiaries of PMAY-G. The detailed procedure for submission of reports by Competent Authority and disposal of cases by the Appellate Committee, including timely disposal, will be decided by the respective State/ UT.

The list of households proposed to be included in the universe, as recommended by the Appellate Committee, will be prepared Gram Panchayat and community wise. The decision on inclusion of these households into the Permanent Wait List shall be made after obtaining the approval of Competent Authority in the Central Government on recommendation of the State Government.
