(a) whether any scheme is being run by the Gove- rnment for the education of differently abled persons in the country including Odisha;
(b) if so, the name of the schemes under which the education is being provided;
(c) whether a lot of delay occurs to initiate action on the proposals received from the States in this regard; and
(d) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto?.

(a) to (d): A number of Government of India schemes provide for education of differently abled persons in the country (including Odisha), details of which are given in Annexure.
Under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, approvals are accorded in a Project Approval Board meeting in which the State/UT participates, annually, so there is no delay.
