(a) & (b) Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have informed that expansion of Retail Outlet network is a continuous process to ensure adequate availability of motoring fuels like petrol and diesel throughout the country. Public Sector OMCs had advertised 78,688 locations for award of new Retail Outlet dealerships on 25.11.2018 and 14.12.2018 based on feasibility study on pan India basis.

The minimum Educational Qualification is 10th Class Pass (Examination conducted by a Board/School). Certificate issued by Armed Forces as equivalent to 10th Class pass in accordance with Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension notification dated 12.2.1986 is also considered. Minimum Educational Qualification is not applicable to Freedom Fighters.
As regards LPG, appointment of LPG distributorships is a continuous process and locations for setting up of LPG distributorships are identified based on sale potential that makes them commercially viable.
(c) State/District wise number of locations advertised and dealership/distributorship commissioned by Public Sector OMCs for retail outlets and LPG distributorships in Tripura and Jharkhand is given in Annexure-1 & Annexure-2 respectively.
(d) Procedure / Norms / Criteria / Reservation Policy for allotment of Retail Outlet Dealerships/LPG distributorships in the country are available on the respective websites of the OMCs i.e. www.iocl.com, www.bharatpetroleum.com & www.hindustanpetroleum.com.
