(a) the State/UT-wise details of the land acquired by the Oil and Natural Gas
Corporation Limited (ONGC) from the farmers during the year 2016-17;
(b) whether ONGC has provided compensation to the Farmers and jobs to their
children whose lands have been acquired for various projects and if so, the details
thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) Details of the land acquired by the ONGC on permanent basis are at
Annexure-I and details of land acquired on temporary basis on rent/lease/outright
purchase are at Annexure- II
(b) ONGC has paid all dues in accordance with award pronounced by Land
Acquisition Officer for land acquired on permanent basis. Jobs in ONGC are
provided in terms of recruitment policies for various categories based on the
requirements. For temporary acquisition of land, due compensation has been paid to
farmers.
