Question : Power Projects Financed by PFC and REC

(a) the details of amount sanctioned and disbursed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) for power and irrigation projects to various State Governments or their corporations or any of their agencies during the last three years and the current year; year-wise;
(b) whether the irrigation projects financed by PFC and REC received approvals from the Ministry of Jal Shakti and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of the terms of lending of the PFC and REC to various State Governments or their corporations or their agencies including interest rate, loan tenure, number of years of moratorium left and the beginning of repayment of the principal amount; and
(d) the details of physical progress in this regard in various States?

(a): The details of amount sanctioned and disbursed for Power and Irrigation projects during the last three years and the current year (upto 24.11.2021) by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Ltd and REC Ltd (formerly known as Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd) are furnished at Annexure-I.

(b): The details of approvals from the Ministry of Jal Shakti and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for irrigation projects financed by PFC Ltd and REC Ltd are furnished at Annexure-II and Annexure-III respectively.

(c) & (d): The main sanction terms stipulated in regard to irrigation projects funded by PFC Ltd and REC Ltd and Physical progress are brought out at Annexure-IV and Annexure-V respectively.
