(a) whether the Government has permitted use of artificial sweeteners in food items , confectionery and soft drinks ;
(b) if so, the items that have been allowed to be used as artificial sweeteners ;
(c) whether the Government proposes to encourage production of sugar free ice creams and other products ;and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

use of the following artificial sweeteners in food articles
in the table below in quantities not exceeding the limits
shown against them and subject to prescribed label
