Quota in different trains and in different classes. The quota is released by the Railways in accordance with the priority as per warrant of precedence and well established practice being followed since long. The extent of Emergency Quota (EQ) to be earmarked in different classes of different trains is decided by zonal Railways based on demand pattern and availability of accommodation. The Emergency Quota so earmarked varies on day-to-day basis and over lean and peak periods.
