Question : CSR Spending in Delhi

(a) whether the Corporate firms in Delhi have been complying with Corporate Social Responsibility norms as per Companies Act, 2013 and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the list of all corporate houses/firms/companies in Delhi that come under the purview of CSR; and
(c) the details of activities done by the corporate firms regarding the areas of CSR spending in Delhi for the last three years?

(a) to (c): Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 (Act) mandates every company having net worth of Rs. 500 crore or more, or turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more, or net profit of Rs. 5 crore or more during the immediately preceding financial year, to spend at least two per cent of the average net profits of the company made during the three immediately preceding financial years, towards Corporate Social Responsibility in any of the eligible activities enumerated in Schedule VII of the Act. The details of companies in Delhi that come under the purview of CSR is not maintained separately by the Ministry. All data reported by companies on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is available on National CSR Portal at www.csr.gov.in. As per filings made by companies upto 20.10.2018 in the MCA 21 registry, the details of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds spent by the companies in Delhi for financial years 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 are Rs. 488.39 crores, Rs. 517.37 crores and Rs. 222.32 crores respectively.
