Question : National Career Service Project

(a) whether the Government has signed certain MoUs with private partners for maximizing reach of National Career Service (NCS) project;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with number of active beneficiaries under NCS, State-wise; and;

(c) the fresh steps taken by the Government to provide increased access to the youth for vast variety of employment opportunities across the country particularly for youth belonging to Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Rajasthan?

(a) & (b): The Ministry has signed strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with the private partners like job portals, placement organizations and reputed institutions for maximizing the reach of the National Career Service (NCS) project. These MoUs have been instrumental in providing increased access to the youth for a vast variety of employment opportunities across the country. Detailed list of MoU partners and active beneficiaries (jobseekers) are annexed at Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively.

(c): The Ministry is implementing National Career Service (NCS) Project to provide increased access to the youth for vast variety of employment opportunities across the country including the states of Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The project aims to provide a variety of employment related services viz. job matching, career counseling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses etc. The project has three components – NCS Portal, Interlinking of Employment Exchanges and Model Career Centers. The services of the project are available online on the National Career Service Portal (www.ncs.gov.in) and are supported by Call Centre/ Helpdesk. The portal envisages as a one stop solution for providing the user friendly services in a transparent manner through Employment Exchanges, Model Career Centres, Common Service Centres, Post Offices etc.
