Question : DIRECT DIALOGUE TELEPHONE FACILITY

(a) whether the Government have received any representation to provide direct dialogue telephone facility of MTNL upto Railway Suburban Area particularly Dahanu, Palghat, Kasora and Karjat in Thana District of Maharashtra; and

(b) if so, the action taken/ proposed to be taken by the Government in this regard ?

(a) Yes, Sir.

(b) Local dialing without `0` (Direct dialing) with distance based tariff has been introduced from Mumbai to Dhanu (Dhanu Road) and Karjat. There are no places viz. Palghat, Kasora in Thane District of Maharashtra.
