Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to make a provision for upgradation of presently operational Information Technology (IT) parks in Uttar Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the names of the cities which are proposed to be covered under this provision?
(a): Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), an autonomous society under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has established four STPI centres in Uttar Pradesh at Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Noida. Further, four new STPI centres have been approved in Uttar Pradesh at Agra, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Meerut. Currently, there is no proposal under consideration of Government of India for upgradation of presently operational STPI Centres in Uttar Pradesh.
(b): Does not arise.
