(a) whether any requests/proposals have been received from Bihar
including Supaul and Samstipur for setting up sugar mills in the State
during the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government
thereto alongwith the present status of the proposals; and
(c) the number of mills actually set up in the State during the said period?

(a) & (b)- The Central Government received three Industrial Entrepreneur Memoranda (IEM)
for setting up of new sugar mills in the State of Bihar during last three years
(i.e. from January 2009 to January 2012). The details are as under:-
