Question : Funds for Higher Education

(a) the funds allocated for higher education in the country during the last three years and the
current year;
(b) the break-up of allocation of funds for Central Universities, Indian Institutes of
Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other centres of
higher learning during the said period;
(c) the details of subsidy provided per student for each category along with the number and
amount of scholarships in these institutions during the same period;
(d) the total number of additional seats created in each category of these institutions during
the last three years and the current year; and
(e) the comparison of allocations to higher education and per student subsidy with the
international average and Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS)
countries?
