(a) whether the Government is preparing a massive plan to launch Bal Sansad or Children''s Parliament in schools across the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the objective behind the proposed move;
(c) whether the State Governments have been asked to start Bal Sansad in their schools with the help of the Government; and
(d) if so, the response thereof along with the time by which the Bal Sansads will start functioning?

(a) to (d): The Central Government is working on a programme, namely, ‘Bal Sansad’ or ‘Children''s Parliament’ to develop life skills in children, i.e. planning, problem solving, leadership, ownership, decision making, participation of children in all activities and management of the school and making school a fun-filled, joyful, and safe learning environment. The Central Government is developing the guidelines for the said programme based on the best practices of the States/UTs. Once finalized, the guidelines will be shared with the States/UTs.
