Question : TRAI

(a) whether the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has made any recommendation to Digital Communications Commission (DCC) regarding the reserve price of sale of 8300 MHz;

(b) if so, the reserve price recommended by the TRAI and the basis on which the fee has been calculated by the TRAI;

(c) whether the Government has received any objection from the leading telecom operators regarding the fixation of reserve price;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) whether the Government is aware of the fact that due to the Apex Court judgement regarding Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) which may eliminate the potential bidders who may be forced to invest huge amount to be eligible; and

(f) if so, the steps being taken by the Government to ensure fair play in auctioning?

(a) No Sir. Fresh recommendations have been sought from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on auction of available spectrum.

(b) to (f) Not applicable in view of (a) above.
