(a) whether the Government proposes to bring more area under bio-fuel crops;
(b) if so, the details and reasons therefor;
(c) the type of land proposed to be used for bio-fuel plantations; and
(d) the likely impact this will have on India`s food security and environment?

(a) to (d): The bio-fuel plantations are encouraged in the degraded lands.Agricultural lands
are not being used for bio-fuel plantations.Hence, there is no likelihood of any adverse impact
on India’s food security and environment.
