(a) whether the Union Government proposed to set up National Rural Development training Authority to evolve a new educational and training methodology for rural development and improving the livelihood of the rural folk;

(b) if so, the details and the present status thereof;

(c) the responsibilities propose to assign to the proposed authority to ensure the rural development and improve rural livelihood; and

(d) the time by which the final decision is likely to be taken in this regard?

(a)&(b) Yes Madam. A draft bill for establishment of National Rural Development training Authority 2011 was initially moved by the Ministry and comments were sought from various stakeholders. But later on, the proposal was dropped in the year 2013.

(c)&(d) Do not arise.
