(a) whether the Union Government has received any proposal for providing assistance under Cancer Control Programme of Medical College, Bhopal;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which the Union Government is likely to accord its sanction?

(a) to (c): Yes, Sir. Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal has sent a proposal for financial assistance
under the National Cancer Control Programme. It has already been provided Rs. 1.50 crore under the
scheme. The institute is, therefore, entitled for differential grant-in-aid of Rs. 1.50 crore only
when the utilization certificate for the previous grant-in-aid is settled which is still awaited.
