Question : Exhibitions Organised by NMDFC

(a) the number of exhibitions organized by the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) across the country;
(b) the criteria laid down to participate in the exhibition conducted by NMDFC;
(c) the States from which most people have participated in the said exhibitions along with the State-wise and district-wise details thereof;
(d) the number of exhibitions and the locations of the exhibitions organized during the last three years along with the number of stalls;
(e) the exhibition-wise details of the participants; and
(f) the benefits and other expenditure made by the Government during each exhibition organized along with the stall-wise/participant-wise details thereof?

(a) NMDFC has Marketing Assistance Scheme (MAS) for craftspersons. Exhibitions are organized under this scheme through the State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs). SCAs have organized 15 exhibitions under this scheme during the last 3 years. Besides, 11 Hunar Haat exhibitions under Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts/ Crafts for Development (USTTAD) Scheme of Ministry of Minority Affairs were also organized during the last 3 years .
(b) An artisan/ culinary expert belonging to any of the six centrally notified minority communities viz. Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi& Jain is eligible to participate in the exhibition conducted by NMDFC. Application forms and other details are made available on the website www.nmdfc.org.
(c) A statement showing the number of participating artisans, state-wise &year-wise in exhibitions organised under MAS and Hunar Haats during the last three years is given in Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively. District-wise figures are not maintained centrally by NMDFC.
(d) to (f) A statement showing number of exhibitions, venues, number of participating artisans/ culinary experts and the expenditure incurred in the last three years under MAS and Hunar Haats is given in Annexure-III and Annexure-IV respectively.
