Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI K.H. MUNIYAPPA)

(a) Yes, Sir.

(b)&(c) Ramsila-Bijli Mahadev road at Kullu is a rural road and cannot be sanctioned under Central Road Fund, therefore the proposal has been returned to State PWD. The proposal of converting Thiyog-Kotkhair- Hatkoti road to double lane has been sanctioned for an amount of Rs.4.03 crores on 5.1.2004. The proposal for construction of the Manali By-pass has been returned to State PWD on 29.3.2004 since the work was not included in the Annual Plan. The State PWD is in process of acquiring land for construction of Chakki Bridge. After acquisition of land, the estimate for construction of Chakki Bridge will be considered depending upon availability of resources and inter-se-priority of projects.
