(a) to (c): Yes Sir. Developing and nurturing of human resource in Science & Technology
has always been on top of the Governmentâs agenda. A number of schemes have been initiated
to attract research scholars namely Young Scientists/ Women Scientists Fellowships;
Swarnajayanthi Fellowships and J.C. Bose & Ramanujam Fellowships for practicing scientists,
Junior/Senior Research Fellowships, Research Associateship etc. The Government has
sanctioned approximately Rs. 380 crore for the last two years. Several impressive results
including publications in high impact journals, patents, human resource development, etc.
have been emanated from the research investment. The support ensures the strengthening and
retaining of talent within the country.
