(a) whether the amount of scholarship presently given is linked with the price
index changes;
(b) whether Dr. Ambedkar Birth Centenary Celebration Committee represented to
link the amount of pre-matric and post-matric scholarships with price index;
and
(c) if so, action taken by the Government to implement the same?

(a) No. Sir.
(b)&(c) Dr. Ambedkar Centenary Celebration Committee had recommended that the
amount of scholarships under Post-Matric scholarship to Scheduled Caste
students should be linked up with the cost of living index. The scholarship
amount has not been linked with the price index but the rates of the
scholarships have been revised upwards twice since then.
