(a) whether various hydropower projects in the country including Uttarakhand have been stopped after expenditure of hundreds of crore rupees;
(b) if so, whether these projects were duly approved by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change or not and if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, whether the Government proposes any policy to check the recurrence of such incidents; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b): Seven Hydro Electric Projects in the country including in the State of Uttarakhand totalling to 4321 MW capacity have been stopped due to various reasons. All these projects were duly approved by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The details are given at Annexure.
(c)&(d): Does not arise.
