Question : ALLOTMENT OF SHOPS AND KIOSKS



(a) whether the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) maintains quota system for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the allotment of shops and kiosks;

(b) if so, the details of such allotments made by NDMC for reserved cetegories during each of the last three years, areawise; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Yes, Madam. The New Delhi Municipal council provides reservation to the Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes in allotment of new shops and kiosks.

(b): In the year 2007-08, no such allotment was made. In the year 2008-09, Shop No.7, Aliganj Market, Lodi Colony was allotted to the applicant under the Scheduled Castes category and Shop No. 26, Mini Market, Malcha Marg was allotted to the applicant under the Physically Challenged category. In the year 2009-10, Shop No. 1, food Court, Hanuman Mandir Complex was offered to the applicant under the Scheduled Castes category.
