Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY(AYUSH) be pleased to state:
(a) the details of AYUSH centres proposed to be opened at AYUSH Wellness Centres in the country, State/UT-wise including Uttar Pradesh along with a timeline of completion thereof; and
(b) the details of medicines to be sought for treatment and provided under existing AYUSH system of medicines?
(a): Central Government has approved 12,500 AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres, to be operationalized by Ministry of AYUSH through State/UT Governments including Uttar Pradesh under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) in a phased manner by the year 2023-24.It is envisaged to upgrade AYUSH Dispensaries and Sub-Health Centres identified by State/UT Governments as AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres for providing AYUSH based preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative care. The details of approved AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) are furnished as Annexure.
(b): Under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM), there is provision of financial assistance for Supply of Essential Drugs to AYUSH Hospitals and Dispensaries, co-located AYUSH facilities at PHCs, CHCs, DH and upto 50- Bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospitals. State/UT Governments are eligible for seeking grant-in-aid under this activity as per NAM guidelines.
