Question : Welfare Schemes for OBCs

(a) the details of various Schemes operational for the benefit of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) by the Ministry including the fund allocation made and funds utilized for these Schemes during the last three years, State-wise;

(b) the details of beneficiaries of the said schemes during the last three years, scheme and State-wise along with the details in respect of Rajasthan and Maharashtra; and

(c) the funds allocated, disbursed and beneficiaries of the various schemes run by the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) during the said period, State and channelising agency-wise along with the details in respect of Rajasthan and Maharashtra?

(a) to (b): Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is operating the following Schemes for the Welfare of Other Backward Classes (OBCs): (1) Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC students, (2) Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC students, (3) Construction of Hostels for OBC Boys and Girls, (4) National Fellowship for OBC students (5) Dr. Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational Loan for Overseas Studies for OBCs and Economically Backward Classes (EBCs) and (6) Assistance for Skill Development for OBCs/EBCs/De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs)
The details of, State-wise, funds allocation and their utilization and beneficiaries including Rajasthan and Maharashtra during the last three years are given at Annexure-I.
(c): The following schemes are being operated by the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) through State Channelizing Agencies/Banks in various States:
(i) Term Loan
(a) General Loan Scheme
(b) Education Loan Scheme
(c) New Swarnima Scheme

(ii) Micro Finance
(a) Micro Finance Scheme
(b) Mahila Samriddhi Yojana (Micro Finance Scheme for Women)
(c) Small Loan
The details of funds allocation, disbursement, utilization and number of beneficiaries State/Channelizing-wise including Rajasthan and Maharashtra during the last three years are given at Annexure-II.
