Question : Setting up of Energy Projects by PSEs

(a) the details of renewable energy projects set up or likely to be set up by the Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) for sustainable development, PSE-wise;

(b) the details of renewable energy sources where power is being generated by the PSE along with the quantum of power generated from the said sources during the last three years and the current year, PSE-wise; and

(c) the details of targets fixed to install and promote solar panels in rural areas during 2019-20 and the progress made thereto?

(a) The Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) are actively participating in the sustainable development by setting up Renewable Energy Projects in the country. Details of the major projects commissioned/ under

(b) The sources wise and year-wise details of power being generated through the renewable energy sources including projects installed by PSEs during last three years and current year is given in Annexure-II.

(c) Under the off-grid and decentralised solar PV programme Ph-III, it is targeted to sanction installation of three lakh solar street lights, distribution of 25 lakh solar study lamps and installation of solar power packs of individual capacity up to 25 kWp each and aggregated capacity 100 MWp by 2019-20 mainly in remote and rural areas of the country as per provisions of the Scheme. Allotment for complete quantity of solar study lamps and solar streetlights and allotment for around 40 MWp aggregated capacity solar power packs have already been made to States/UTs.
Under the New Scheme for Farmers it is targeted to sanction installation 1000 MW small solar power plants on pilot mode, installation of 1.75 lakh stand-alone solar water pumps and solarisation of one lakh grid connected agriculture pumps on pilot mode by 2019-20 in rural areas of the country as per provisions of the Scheme. The scheme guidelines have been formulated.
Under Atal Jyoti Yojana Ph-II around three lakh solar street lights are targeted for installation during 2019-20 with 75% funds provided by MNRE and balance 25% from MPLAD Scheme Funds.
The completion of 70 lakh solar study lamp scheme is also targeted during 2019-20, around 48 lakh lamps distributed so far.
