Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has released the funds for establishment of five
new medical colleges at Bolangir, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Puri in Odisha for the year 2016-17;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor and the time by which the funds are likely to be released?

(a) to (c): Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Establishment of new Medical Colleges attached with existing district/referral hospitals, funds to the tune of Rs. 170 crores have been released to the State Government of Odisha till date for establishment of new medical colleges at Bolangir, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Puri districts.
