Question : ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME



(a): the details of fund earmarked, allocated and released for Entrepreneurship Development Programme during each of the last three years and the current year, State-wise;

(b): the details of targets set and achieved during the said period;

(c): whether the Government has reviewed the Programme; and

(d): if so, the details and outcome thereof?

(a): Madam, Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programmes are conducted by various agencies under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The funds allocated for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programmes by the Ministry during 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 are Rs.6717.99 lakh, Rs.7,903.94 lakh and Rs.9548.16 lakh respectively. Budget estimate for the year 2012-13 is Rs.9400 lakh. State wise data is not centrally maintained.

(b): The target set and achieved for entrepreneurship and skill development programmes of the Ministry, are as below:
