(a) to (e) A statement is laid on the table of the House.

Statement referred in reply of Lok Sabha Starred Question No. 172 to be answered on 28.07.2022
(a) to (d) To make provision of tap water supply to every rural household by 2024 in districts across the country, including those in the Dausa and other districts of Rajasthan, Government of India, in partnership with States, is implementing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) since August 2019. The key features of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) are to make provision of potable water to every rural household through tap water connection at a service level of 55 litre per capita per day (lpcd), of prescribed quality (BIS:10500), on regular and long-term basis.
At the time of announcement of Jal Jeevan Mission, 11.74 lakh households were reported to have tap water connections in Rajasthan. So far, 15.76 lakh rural households have been provided with tap water connections in last 35 months including 17,719 households in Dausa districts. Thus, as of date, out of 105.69 lakh rural households in the State of Rajasthan, around 27.50 lakh (26.02%) households are reported to have tap water supply in their homes. The State/ UT, district & village-wise status of tap water connection in rural households etc. as reported by States/ UTs is in public domain and available on JJM dashboard at:
https://ejalshakti.gov.in/jjmreport/JJMIndia.aspx
Further, as reported by the State of Rajasthanon 22.07.2022, out of 4,821 rural habitations in Dausa district of Rajasthan, 4,782 (99.19%) habitations have provision of potable drinking water with sources at a reasonable distance and 39 (0.81%) rural habitations are reported to have water quality issues in drinking water sources.
Drinking Water being a State subject, it is States, who plan, design, approve and implement drinking water supply schemes. Government of India supplements the efforts of the States by providing technical and financial assistance under this mission. As informed by the State of Rajasthan, all the 1,079 villages of Dausa district have been proposed to be covered under JJM through surface source Isarda Dam located in Sawai Madhopur district along with conjunctive use of ground water sources. For the coverage through surface water i.e. through Isarda-Dausa-Sawai Madhopur water supply project, the work is in progress.
(e) Under JJM, an amount of Rs. 13,328.60 Crore has been allocated to the State Government for implementation of mission in the current year i.e. 2022-23.Moreover, the State had opening balance of Rs. 1288.46 Crore at the beginning of this financial year.
