(a) whether the Government has set up a National Task Force on IT and Software Development to examine the feasibility of strengthening the industry;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of problems being faced by the Government in this regard and the steps taken/being taken so far to resolve them?

(a) to (c): No such National Task Force has been set up in the recent past. However, the National Task Force on IT and Software Development, set up in 1998, submitted its Report to the Government and several recommendations contained therein were accepted by Government.
