Question : AICTE Regulations- 2020


(a) whether as per the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Regulations,
2020, institutes/colleges are not permitted to conduct PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in
Management) and MBA courses in the same campus;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with reasons;
(c) the total number of colleges/institutes which are presently conducting PGDM and MBA
courses in the same campus; and
(d) the validity, safety and future of those students who are presently pursuing their PGDM
and MBA and passed out students in the same colleges/premises?

GANESHAMURTHI, SHRI A.K.P. CHINRAJ REGARDING AICTE REGULATIONS,
2020.
(a) : No, Sir. The All India Council for Technical Council (AICTE) has decided to permit
conduct of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Master in Business
Administration (MBA) in the same campus as per para 2.19.1(b) of Approval Process Handbook
2020-21.
(b): Does not arise.
(c): As per data maintained by AICTE, the number of colleges/ institutes conducting PGDM
and MBA courses in the same campus was 183 in academic year 2019-20.
(d): The Degree/Certificates of existing students presently pursuing PGDM and MBA and
those of already passed out shall be valid for all proposes.
