QUESTION

Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:

(a) the details of present currency/ coins printing press across the country;
(b) whether the Government is considering to set up Currency Printing Press at Rajahmundry and other important places in view of the shortage of currency notes after demonetization of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 notes; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a): At present there are four Banknote Printing Presses and four mints as follows:

04 Bank Note Press Dewas, Madhya Pradesh
05 India Government Mint Mumbai, Maharastra
06 India Government Mint Kolkata, West Bengal
07 India Government Mint Hyderabad, Telangana
08 India Government Mint Noida, Uttar Pradesh
