Question : EMPLOYMENT TO SKILLED PERSONS



(a) the funds allocated/utilised by NSDC for skill development programmes during each of the last three years;

(b) the number of persons trained by the National Skill Development Commission (NSDC) in the country along with the number of persons who got employment or started new enterprise out of them; and

(c) the details of the new steps taken by the Gover- nment for transparency, quality and accountability in imparting training?

(a) The Government has been supporting the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in its skilling activities /programmes. NSDC has been implementing various skilling programmes of the Central Government including STAR (Standard, Training, Assessment and Reward) Scheme for skilling youth from across the country and UDAAN Scheme for youth from Jammu & Kashmir. Funds released to NSDC so far as are as under:-

 (c) NSDC already has a Skill Development Monitoring System (SDMS) to monitor the implementation of schemes/programmes. The SDMS includes capturing of complete information of candidates, training providers, training centres, and capturing.
