a. whether the Government is considering special schemes under the Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana for entrepreneurs wanting to set up clean technology industries; b. if so, the details thereof; c. whether the Government is also considering special training programmes for village based agro industries using organic farming; and d. if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b) The purpose of Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana (RGUMY) is to provide handholding support and assistance to the potential first generation entrepreneurs, through the selected lead agencies i.e. `Udyami Mitras’, in the establishment and management of the new enterprise, in dealing with various procedural and legal hurdles and in completion of various formalities required for setting up and running of the enterprise. There are no special schemes under R GUMY for entrepreneurs wanting to set up clean technology industries.

(c)&(d) Government of India imparts training to persons desirous of setting up of micro-enterprises including agro-industries, under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) which is a credit-linked subsidy scheme of the Government, implemented from 2008-09 through Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), a statutory organization under this Ministry.
