Question : COMPETITION FROM PRIVATE SECTOR BANKS

(a) whether the profit margins of public sector banks have declined to a great extent due to stiff competition from private sector banks especially by foreign banks;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the corrective measures taken by the Government in this regard ?
